Adam Milstein – Champion

Adam Milstein is a native Israeli, born in 1952 in the city of Haifa. At the age of 19, he joined the Israeli Defense Forces and followed Arial Sharon across the Suez Canal and into Egypt during the Yom Kippur War of 1973.

After leaving the military, Adam Milstein pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in business and economics at the Israeli Institute of Technology (Technion). In 1974, while pursuing a degree, Milstein married Gila Elgrably in his hometown of Haifa.

In 1981, Adam Milstein moved his young family to the United States to take advantage of business opportunities. In 1983, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California (USC) and began a career selling commercial properties. Eventually, he became a managing partner in Hager Pacific Properties, supervising hundreds of properties worth a collective two billion dollars.

Once financially secure, Adam Milstein and his wife Gila devoted themselves to being champions for Israel. Together they founded the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, connecting young Jews from many countries with the nation of Israel and giving them a chance to delve deeper into their Jewish roots. The Milstein Family Foundation also helps to support a variety of Pro-Jewish and Pro-Israeli organizations.

Among them, is the Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC), teaching college students to see their Jewish roots as a source of pride and enabling them to assume a pro-Israel stance on their campus.

Another campus organization is StandWithUs, advocating teaching Jewish students on American campuses about their Jewish history and traditions with the aim of strengthening their ties to the Jewish homeland and securing Israel’s future.

The Hasbara Fellowships are used to bring students from more then 80 campuses to Israel each year with the aim of returning them to America with the ability to promote and defend Israel.

The Milsteins also created the Israeli-American Council (IAC), to strengthen the connection between Israel and the United States.
